I'm so grateful

Today I want to share with you something worth thinking about: overestimating small problems and the importance of gratitude.

Yes, as we lie in our nice warm beds, we can often find ourselves really terrified thinking about the little problems we have, right? But in reality, these problems can actually feel like they are getting bigger and bigger and taking center stage in our lives. Yet we always have the opportunity to adequately appreciate the value of the home, family, friends and food we have been given.

Many of us may dream of being a princess in a castle or living a life of luxury. But the truth is that unless we learn to be grateful, any lifestyle will not fully satisfy us. Sometimes, a lack of gratitude can even create a feeling of emptiness towards what we have.

At every point in life, we should not ignore the hardships that people in another corner of the world face. From India to Africa, there are people sleeping on the streets, looking for food, while we are in our warm beds, struggling with "problems" like school, uni or relationships. But we lose sight of what is really important: giving thanks, being grateful and changing our perspective.

Sometimes we face things that are out of our hands. We cannot stop the wind, but we can change our direction. We may not be able to change what happens in our lives, but we can always change our perspective. This reminds us that what matters is how we use the circumstances we are given.

Let's not forget that the circumstances and opportunities we are born into are given differently to everyone. But what matters is how we use them and what kind of perspective we develop.

Instead of getting stuck in life's little problems, let's learn to be grateful and change our perspective. Perhaps the texture on the outside of the empty glass is more important.
