There is a deep advice I once received from my grandmother that I always remember: " my darling, go to the one who loves you." These words have taken on a deep meaning for me over time and have been my guide in finding the right path in human relationships.
Loving and being loved is one of the most important parts of life. But, unfortunately, many of us sometimes find it difficult to understand true love. Intelligent, gentlemanly, handsome, cultured, rich... These are qualities that can make someone attractive, but they are meaningless unless they translate into real love.
As we meet people, we come across many people who are not clear whether they really love or not. Workaholics, incomplete personalities, egotists... The list goes on and on. But as my grandmother used to say, if someone doesn't really love you, what are you doing with them?
It is important to care for people who really care for you. However, it should be a reciprocal relationship. The more people show you value, the more you show them value. No more, no less. Because people don't deserve too much attention.
Last but not least, I am grateful to people who do not have ulterior motives. I am disgusted by self-interest with a motive/purpose behind it. It is important to be grateful to people who are sincere and genuine...
